I'm Sorry for the Pain I've Given You
I'm sorry for the pain I've given
you.
Adolescence is no cup of tea.
My angry
bursts bewilder even me,
Just as they must disconcert you,
too.
Understand, no matter what I do,
Still my
love for you is like a sea:
Tempest tossed, at times, as it
must be;
Great with yearning, deep, and wide, and
true.
Reason cannot fathom what I am
Or
calculate the currents of my heart.
What I feel is full of
creatures dark,
Invisible, yet hungry to be
known.
No rules, even self-imposed, can
dam
Guest surges spilling into every
part,
Undoing will, surrounding each remark . .
.
Perhaps this sea will calm when I am
grown.
